Total Project Management
Managing a number of different suppliers can be a headache. C.A. Spalding Co. can help solve those problems through our total project management. All you need to do is tell us your requirements, and we'll provide you with finished components and assemblies that meet your toughest quality and delivery standards. We manage all aspects of the project, from engineering and prototype development through manufacturing and assembly. And when additional capabilities are needed, we turn to our certified supplier network to make sure the job is done right.
Engineering and Design
Our Engineering Department is committed to teaming with your engineers to reduce costs, improve product performance, and meet or exceed your delivery requirements. We can provide you with Black Box Design capabilities, and we excel in the design of fixtures and jigs, including complicated multi-station progressive dies. Our engineers utilize a number of CAD-CAM software packages, including Unigraphics, SolidWorks, CATIA, AutoCAD, and Mastercam, to engineer and manufacture your parts to your specifications.
Manufacturing
We manufacture aluminum and stainless steel parts for a number of customers, but our true expertise lies in the manufacture of titanium and inconel.
We are committed to continuous improvement in our equipment, processes, and people. We are constantly upgrading and adding new equipment to offer you new capabilities and to manufacture existing parts better and faster. Our current capabilities includes laser cutting, CNC milling (3-axis and 5-axis), CNC and manual brake presses, stamping presses, titanium hot forming, and Faro CMM inspection.
Our two manufacturing facilities, which total 74,000 square feet, allow us to offer you a number of manufacturing processes. These include

We have developed several manufacturing cells to improve productivity and reduce delivery times, and are currently working to implement additional lean manufacturing techniques throughout our plant. We are constantly working to train our associates to improve their skills and abilities, all to better serve you.
We have also developed a Certified Supplier Network to complement our in-house capabilities. We develop strategic alliances with key suppliers and monitor their quality and delivery performance to ensure that they meet your toughest standards. Our Certified Supplier Network allows for quicker turnaround times, higher quality, and increased cost-efficiencies - benefits which are passed onto you.
Quality
Our quality system is certified to the AS9100/ISO9001 standard, and our welding process is also NADCAP certified. At C.A.
